I like to explore different paths and possibilities starting from the same style or technique. As usual in my work, I like to use the digital tool as a source for the portrait, seeking to find the look and expression of the person to be portrayed. In this case, I wanted to pay tribute to such a great star as Elvis Presley, a musician always present in my childhood and in my life. My heart asked me to make a series based on the style so identified with my other illustration, the character Leeloo, treating the digital style in the same way: the color, absence of a contour line but looking for volume through it, the background flowery and energetic full of color, etc. The idea filled me with motivation to make this series so full of life, so Elvis is the second installment in this series of portraits of famous people.

Me gusta explorar distintos caminos y posibilidades partiendo de un mismo estilo o técnica. Como ya es usual en mi trabajo, me gusta usar la herramienta digital como fuente del retrato, buscando encontrar la mirada y expresión de la persona a retratar. En este caso, quise rendir homenaje a tan gran estrella, como es la de Elvis Presley, músico siempre presente en mi infancia y en mi vida. El corazón me pedía realizar una serie partiendo del estilo tan identificado de mi otra ilustración, el personaje Leeloo, tratando el estilo digital de la misma manera: color plano, ausencia de línea de contorno pero sí buscando el volúmen a través de ésta, el fondo floreado y enérgico lleno de color, etc. La idea me llenaba de motivación por realizar esta serie tan llena de vida, por lo que Elvis es la segunda entrega de esta serie de retratos de personajes ilustres.
